Incorporate Pearl-Ex pigments into any viscous medium like oil, acrylic, gouache, varnish, wax, paper pulp, or clay. Use them for collage and mixed media art, calligraphy, faux-finishing, sculpture, papermaking, candlemaking, pottery, and more.
Pearlescent colours are difficult to show on screen or in print. These are the closest approximations we can manage! Duo colours - show the first colour on light clay, the second colour on dark clay and can be used for interesting effects.
Interference colours behave like oil on water and give a strong effect on dark clay ranging to pastel on white clay.
Try using Pearl white on white clay for wonderful pearls. The same colour on black clay gives a beautiful bright silver - better than the Silver colour.
Make sure you take precautions when using PearlEx powders. Always wear protection over your nose and mouth to prevent inhaling particles. It can be a nuisance, but safety is always first.
